Cyberbully Mom Club may not be a familiar name for many of you, but their lo-fi bedroom pop charm will make them a band that you won't easily forget. Cyberbully Mom Club began as vocalist Shari Heck's way of passing time in her wifi/cable-less apartment. Her songs are quirky, with lyrics that are representative of the trials and tribulations of early adulthood.

The opening track, “fight night champion,” begins with a solitary guitar plucking out eighth notes. Heck's quiet vocals are soon added. The tone of her voice is melancholic as she sings, “Everybody at the finish line is always crying/and ever since that day all of my best friends' been dying.” The tone of this song is nostalgic has Heck reminisces about play-fighting with friends before their interest was diverted towards drugs.

On the track “Girl Walk,” Heck sings about the male-dominated society in which she lives. Her delicate voice is complimented by light guitar strums as she sings “and since I'm not a guy, every time I go outside I gotta be afraid to die die die.”

Cyberbully Mom Club are a young band, which means they're only going to get better from here. Their brand of bedroom pop is warm and inviting, making the listener feel welcome. “Amy Locust Whatever” is a good record to listen to with a warm cup of tea on a cold afternoon.
