Today's album review is on How We Both Wondrously Perish by Being as an Ocean. Let me just say, this album is outstanding! Not only do they put a lot of emotion in their work, but it is poetry at its finest. Their lyrics create a loving and beautiful image. Their vocals are breathtaking and meaningful, as if they physically put their heart and soul into it. My personal favorite from this album is Mediocre Shakespeare; it really does speak to me. It is amazing how each instrument has its own role on how to set the proper mood for each track on the album. Being as an Ocean truly knows how to earn their way into someone’s music library. My favorite lyric is from the song The Poet Cries for More (from the same album) the lyric says this: "We've been led into the wilderness by some radiant lover, just to be left in cold". Those words are short but they truly do speak, I can relate to them because what they say true. When we fall in love, where ever our lover goes we go, but once our lover leaves us, we are left alone, as if we are nothing but a broken toy in a toy box. For anyone that has ever fallen in love but in the end was left broken hearted then they know how it feels, and what the lyrics mean. Being as an Ocean is one of my favorite bands! And, How We Both Wondrously Perish is perfect for someone in need of some meaningful tunes or just something they can relate to relationship wise.
