Hi, everybody! This review is about a band that I recently got into, Pvris. I had heard of them here and there over the past year, and I thought it was about time to check them out. The first song I heard from this band was My House. This song is a great first song if you want to check them out, and after listening for myself I had to check out their other songs. I found my way to their first full length album, White Noise, and I was not disappointed at all. This album is a great album, and so far it’s been my jam nearly every day. I love every single song, and I think every song fits perfectly in the album. This is the kind of album you would listen to during a day trip filled with driving under the beautiful sun, while also being the kind of album you’d hear in the background of a dance party. It starts off with the song “Smoke”, which I feel is an amazing introduction to this album and this band. Overall, I love this album, and it has become a staple album in all my playlists. Be sure to check them out on Warped Tour this summer!
Track List & Comments:
- Smoke- As I previously said, this song is an amazing introduction to the album, and it has a great feel to it. This whole album is very chill, and I think this song captures that vibe.
- St. Patrick- This song is a great, and the lyrics talk of a cute love story that I can’t get enough of. This song reminds me of young and careless love, which makes it such a nice song to listen to. I also love Lyndsey Gunnulfsen’s vocals on this song.
- My House- This song is interesting, because the lyrics are open to interpretation. No matter what your interpretation is though, I can guarantee most will like this song because of its amazing beats and overall feel of the song. This is a great song to just relax to in my point of view, and it is also a great introduction to the band if you just want to dip your feet into the world of Pvris.
- Holy- This song is one of my favorites off this album. I love the meaning, the beat, and pretty much everything about it. If I could only pick one Pvris song to listen to for the rest of my life, I think I’d have to pick this one.
- White Noise- This is the title track of the album, and I think it was a good decision to make this the title track. This song seems to scream out title track for some reason, and I like this song a lot. To be honest, there isn’t a song on this album that I don’t like.
- Fire- This song is another great song. It’s definitely an angry song, and I love the tone of it overall. You can definitely tell that this song is kind of meant to get back at someone and a way of telling them that their misfortunes have everything to do with them.
- Eyelids- This song is so beautifully written and performed, and is one of my favorites off the album. I find myself pausing when this song comes on just so I can enjoy it. It is definitely a great song that everyone should check out even if Pvris isn’t necessarily in your comfort zone of music. This song seems to be very simply about not wanting to say goodnight to someone and not wanting to let go, and I think the way they went about expressing that musically is great.
- Mirrors- This song has very interesting lyrics, and I love it. To me, this song is about an unconventional love and it’s just a very fun song with a great beat. This song is another one of my favorites.
- Ghosts- This song is very cute and a great tune if you’re making a playlist for a road trip on a sunny day, much like the rest of the album.
- Let Them In- This song is a great conclusion to the album, and it has this uplifting vibe about it that I like a lot. Again, the beat and the vocals on this are great, and it’s yet another amazing song from Pvris.
