Update!

Hey guys! So I just wanted to write up a quick update because there's a couple new things going on! First of all, on Tuesday night, I sat down with local band Soviet Dolls and did a quick little get-to-know-you interview with them! I'll be typing it up later today and editing it tomorrow, so look for that on probably Saturday! Also, I have another thing to add to my growing list of what I'm involved with. This Fall, I will be
joining the College Marketing Program for XL Recordings. If you don't know who they are, they are a company who has worked with Adele, Vampire Weekend, Tyler the Creator, M.I.A and more. If you'd like to check them out their website is xlrecordings.com.

So if you're a little lost on exactly what it is that I'm involved with (I know I'm literally at the point of color coding my schedules to keep it straight), here is a laundry list of everything:

-Internship with The Caring Music Group: A local music organization that focuses on creating and selling music to help people with their mental health. I help with whatever projects they need done, but it's mostly marketing and community outreach.  (http://www.thecaringmusicgroup.com/index)

-Fearless Records Street Team: I help promote releases, concerts, tours and the like for Fearless Records bands. If you'd like to join, email Ivan@fearlessrecords.com

-The Syndicate: They're a marketing company based in NYC. They have an elite street team called SynnerNation which consists of about 450 people nationwide, which is what I do. My job is to go to shows and promote clients of the Syndicate. For a more in depth look at what I do, you can look at my progress update from earlier on in the week, where I described my experience at the Linkin Park show last week. To join, visit thesyn.com/join/

-Open Our Eyes: This is a website that focuses on the positive impact of music. They feature band/music reviews, interviews, and playlists. I am one of their newest music bloggers and will be officially starting my post in September. Check them out at openoureyes.org/category/music/

-XL Recording: I won't reiterate what I said above, but I wanted to include it in the list!

-WMCC Radio: This is my college radio station, and more information about this will be coming up once I start back next week. I'm an on-air DJ and an event coordinator officially, but honestly we all do a little bit of everything in the office.

So there it is! Stay tuned for the Soviet Dolls interview on Saturday and more posts like this one coming up next week! I already have Sunday's playlist pretty much finished, it's a genre this week!

xx
