1989 is Taylor Swift's fifth full length studio album. And to me, one of her best. Taylor, you can say has grown up. She has moved away from her country roots, and has embraced great dance beats. There are 13 tracks on this album with five singles that most of us are rocking to in our cars, or dancing in the streets to.
"Shake It Off" has become popular with almost everyone. Including a local Delaware Cop, that hit the big time with his viral video of him dancing and lip singing while in his patrol car doing a local PDA. If you were to do a quick questionnaire on the street, most everyone you asked could do the rap in the bridge. "My ex man brought his new girl friend...."
Blank Space, what a great line "Cause darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream" Not only does this song have some great lyrics that represent almost every woman out there one time or another, it has an addictive melody also.
Finally, Taylor shows us not only is she a great story teller in her songs, she also has the ability to write a good story in her booklet. This whole album contains songs that can all be chart toppers. Best of all Taylor writes some great one liners. "This sick beat" found in "Shake It Off" and to me, the best one is in Bad Blood "Band-aids don't fix bullet holes."
