Album Review: From Where I Stand by Haley Klinkhammer

Words by: Nahson Wren

This is the debut album from Haley Klinkhammer.  The album dives into a story that is essentially about someone searching for contentment and self-worth.  She speaks to how seemingly the best of circumstances could lead to self-doubt or a lack of purpose.  It describes difficult times in that search, but ultimately sheds light on a deeper conclusion of the bigger picture that explains it all.  It's based on how a fairytale like fantasy of life could be far from what she has searching for.  The idea that things will turn out right are conflicted by her own sense of direction of how she may be able to be more in control of her life.  By the end, it is kind of like she finds a medium that works out well for her.
