Year: 2006

Genre: Rock

Duration: 51 minutes

The Black Parade is the third studio album, many music reviewers consider this album a best of the mid seventies record of 2006, with echoes and kitsch from rocks golden age. The first track is titled "The End". Reminenscent of Alice Cooper's Billion Dollar Babies with glam guitars and spooky choir cheers. In my honest opinion I think this is the best of My Chemical Romance.

The End (1:52) an introductory song leading us into this studio broadway muscial of death.

Dead! (3:15) Best lyrics of the song, "If life aint just a joke, then why are we laughing?" Each of these songs on this album walks us through the life and death of this patient. Did the patient make it? Did he get what he deserved? Let's see in the next song..

"This is How I Dissapear"(3:59)-"I'm really not so with you anymore, I'm just a ghost." He sings these words as no one can hear. He walks among the famous living dead. He is alone now.

The Sharpest Lives (3:20) "The sharpest lives are the deadliest to lead." Almost a Romeo and Juliet look into his former life.

Welcome To The Black Parade (5:11) "When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city, to see a marching band.. ." This patient never ever really got to live, he only remembers going to see a parade with his father. What was the significance of the words his father spoke? "Because one day I'll leave you, a phantom, to lead you in the summer, to join the Black Parade."

I Don't Love You (3:58) Did anyone love him in his former life? " When you go, would you even turn to say, I don't love you, like I did, yesterday."

House of Wolves "Tell me Im an Angel , take this to my grave.." Was this patient an angel? Was he a bad person? " S-I-N I S-I-N!"

Cancer (2:22) " Now, we realize what this patient has. Cancer.. "If you could get me a drink of water, cause my lips are chapped and faded." Strong lyrics here.. "Cause the hardest part of this, is leaving you.." Gut wrenching lyrics, which should stand for an anthem of Cancer patients. This song tells how Cancer can destroy someone's looks, and life. And in the end, the hardest part of having Cancer, is leaving the ones you love behind.

Mama, ft. Liza Minelli. (4:39) "Mama, we all go to hell, I'm writing this letter, and wishing you well." A son ranting to his mother, saying everyone dies, and we all go to hell when we do.

Sleep (4:43) "The hardest part's, the awful things that, I've seen.." On his deathbed, The Patient wants to wake up from his nightmares, but can't pull himself out of the darkness.

Teenagers (2:41) "They say all Teenagers scare, the livin s--t outta me." The Patient, a teen living through the hell of not being accepted by the cliques, or being called names. Actually, all teens should be scared. We are the ones that are inheriting the hell on earth that gets worse everyday.

Disenchanted (4:55) "I spent my highschool career, spit on and shoved to agree." This song talks about The Patient's highschool experience, how he got picked on, and shoved around.

Famous Last Words (4:59) "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone, (Or dead)" The Patient shows no fear of walking his new world alone, after crossing over to be with his dead father in The Black Parade.

Blood (2:53) "The doctors and the nurses they adored me so." The Patient must of been a model, well behaved patient during his stay in the hospital.

This album leads us from beginning of this patients death, to his final walk to the other side. No zombie apocalypse, just one person dying and being alone.
