Preview: Vans Warped Tour Bands to Check Out

With the summer holiday coming up and everyone getting out of school only one thing can follow, Vans Warped Tour. The wonderful traveling music festival ( or is it a circus?) has been a yearly event for twenty one years now, and is still running strong with this years headliners such as Pierce The Veil, Asking Alexandria, and Black Veil Brides....etc. Now,not only are these larger name bands perform, but numerous great bands are performing too. Though the sad part is most of these bands are not appreciated or in some bad cases acknowledged, so here are a few- not all, because we'd be here for days- bands that might strike your music fancy.

BoyMeetsWorld

For people who like Pop Punk.

Recommended song: Right Where We Belong

Now, as I write this I will admit I am slightly biased when it comes to BoyMeetsWorld (BMW). Having met and worked last year with lead vocalist Craig Sulken, I was introduced to their music and what they stood for as musicians. Having only been a baby band or better known as the catering band, BoyMeetsWorld only played a few select dates last year on Warped Tour. What makes BMW stand out, is the fact that for a pop punk band they have pretty clean vocals,along side a lighter back line with more focus on the guitars and the vocals. Defiantly worth checking out.

  

Meghann Wright

For people who like Pop & Acoustic  

Recommended Song: Left My Heart in Brooklyn

Playing the Full Sail Acoustic Basement this summer, is female musician Meghann Wright and boy I defiantly can't wait to see her in action. With a unique sound, Meghann 's music can your bad day flip in seconds. Honestly, there isn't much to say to describe her music, because it's the honey of warped tour and as soon as you hear her voice you'll be drawn in.

The Kenneths

For people who like Punk

Recommend Song:What Happended To My Sex

Trying to revive the true punk rock sound, The Kenneths are doing a great job. With a three piece set up  nothing is stoping them. Fast, repetitive, and raw three of the things that make up punk music and they've gone beyond the mark. If you're looking to make your summer truly punk rock, I'd make sure to catch their set! 

Black Boots

For people who like Electronic

Recommend Song: Streetwalker

Black Boots is a electronic outfit hailing from Las Vegas, that is taking the music industry into their own hands. With no boundaries the duo has drawn attention with their remixes and energetic performance. This isn't a band you'd hear at a cheap party, these guys are the real thing.
